This picture doesn't do this beautiful river justice. I am no photographer but I tried to capture the way it struggled to hold on to its banks. The main bridge was still open to pedestrians but was soon closed off to the public as Horsham braced itself for the peak the following day. Beautiful to see our river so full but very frightening to not really know when and if it would give way.

We take water for granted so much but it's force is often underestimated.

Water is something I have so much respect for that I fear it. It should never be underestimated

I've been through fires, floods, wind storms & dust storms. Each one brings its own misery. I have seen some images of heavy snowfalls too this winter. So glad that we don't get snow here. Pretty to look at & play in but that is about all.

Too many people underestimate water. There will be a lot more that won't in future.

yes I agree  I saw many cases here during the flooding that I would call pure ignorance :omg: people thought it was funny to attempt to pass through the heavy and deep flowing areas in some cases waist deep. Pure stupidity because if anything would have happened to them they would have tied up emergency service crews because of their stupidity and ignorance, when it could have been someone truly in danger out of no fault of their own that could have been rescued

We were safe the bridge is big for a small town but I did feel a little queazy and anxious that is the truth. I knew we were safe but I also knew of the real danger had a huge surge of water come :omg: One or two pics and I was out of there :sprint:
